Hi all, been doing No-Gi BJJ for a while and I think it's time to invest in a Gi. Haven't had a BJJ Gi before so just looking for general advice.

What type is best for beginnner?
Anywhere I can buy in Cork?
    Or better to buy online?
    Size?: I'm 6"1, 90kg.

Any advice you might have is welcome!

We've got some in stock that would fit you... but we're in Dublin www.defendu.ie

They're white and 85 euro, don't pay much more than that for your 1st gi :)

http://tatamifightwear.com do good gi's and are a decent price.

I seen/saw (?) on facebook that the guys in BJJ Cork are putting an order into Tattami soon so if you jump in with their order you could save on postage costs.

I think you'll be an A2 (possibly an A3, try a friend Gi on for size). Tattami Estillo are really nice Gi's and not too expensive either.

Edit to add: I just remembered that Barry in Kyuzo here in Dublin also has some new Tattami Gis in the gym at the moment, so maybe give him a shout here and he'll sort you out.

    Thanks for the replies all,
I haven't had a chance to try one on anywhere so I better do that before I order, I seem to be boderline between A2/ A3. Tatami seems to be the way to go but I'll check out few other places as well. Didn't know about the Fokai place in Cork gonna have a look in there today.

    Thanks again!
