All the Latin speakers will love you - mainly old men wearing collars.

'Cool' tatoos often end up looking uncool.

Try to picture it when you are holding one of your grandkids. If you still think its cool go ahead

If you can speak Latin then go ahead.

I hate when people get tattoos/quote things in languages they can't speak because then they don't even understand it themselves.

Should get something funny in Latin and lie to people about the meaning, something like I eat babies and pretend it is all deep and meaningful like you originally wanted.

If you're going to let yourself get out of shape etc...a lot of tatoos just seem to make people look like more of a knacker imo

seen a woman today in those god awful flannel/towelly tracksuity things and a white belly top.....flabby, pale white pasty skin

couple of ratty looking tattoos contrasting nicely with the great white whale flesh complete with cellulite..........not appetizing, not appetizing at all.

they might have looked good on a toned/maybe lightly tanned body but on her in the state she was in........not appealing at all

same goes for lads imo.......tatoos dont look so bad and can enhance appearance if you don't turn into a wompa otherwise they are going to just accentuate how bad you look.

Dont bother lad. I have a few that I'd rather not have now. If you're getting one make sure 100% that you want it.

If you have to clarify with strangers whether or not it is a good idea or a bad idea then I definitely wouldn't recommend getting it. I love tattoos and have some myself but you really need to make sure you like the design enough, and when you do you won't need to ask people for their opinion on it.

    Prefer "Cogita ante salis" myself.

This one wouldn't, I can tell you that. But then I'm much older so I'm sure you don't care what I think. :pac:
I like tattoos if they're done well but a religious one wouldn't be my cup of tea. The ones I usually see like hands clasped around rosary beads or slogans like 'only God can judge me' are really lame and tacky IMO.

And you're only 21, what if you have a change of heart about religion later in life and you're stuck with that on your arm? Your views and outlook on many things can change and mature as you get older.
It's like getting your partner's name tattooed on you (possibly the most ill-considered foolish tattoo imaginable) because you think you'll always be together, whereas of course divorce statistics tell otherwise.

You probably think "nah, I'll always feel this way" but take it from someone a lot older-things you feel are written in stone at your age will not necessarily be how you think or feel when you're older and (hopefully) a bit wiser.

    Just my tuppence worth.
