Which gender spends the most?

Reading the "what luxuries have you not given up" thread got me thinking. Which gender gets the best deal?

Take out everyday bills that we all pay and focus on what luxuries the average male and female generally buy.

I reckon it's better being a male in this regard. We don't spend much on our haircuts - €10 for me once a month. Don't spend money on makeup. Don't buy clothes or shoes every week/month.

Probably do spend more on drink, gambling, drugs and hookers though..

Females constantly need to be serviced by their owners with a constant supply of fluids and potions and the odd spare part.

So males spend the most, females get the best deal

I think men seem to spend more on "bigger" items eg TV's, cars, boys toys etc. But women probably spend smaller items more frequently.....like buy something cheap in Penneys nearly every day!

As a woman I can easily say that women spend more.
And aren't we worth every last penny

I'd say I spend about a quarter of a percent of my wages on myself.

What gender spends the most on what?

    Clothes? Women.
    Gadgets? Men.
    Food? Kids.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Men spend money on stuff that's needed like tv's, alcohol and food. Women spend money on things for themselves like shoes, more shoes, more shoes and then bags to match the shoes, and more bags and more bags...and hairdo's...and Karen Millen dresses...

I'm not sure. In my relationship I don't think it would be possible to spend more than me; but the boy tends to waste his money on rubbish such as iPods, iPhones, iPads, Mac notebooks. Sometimes I think if I stamped a bitten apple on my ass he'd pay far more attention to me. Big televisions, playstations, xboxes, ect ect.

I spend a lot of money too but at least I buy useful things

I'd say men. Most women I know are very frugal. Especially when its time to get a round in.

It's a bit of a no brainer really op, women. For eg.

Tonight i delievered food to a house in town, the lady of the house comes to the door (very hot) and she has her husbands wallet in her hands. She tells me she's paying from her husbands wallet, gives a bit of a giggle and hands me 30 euro, she then say's, keep the change. The food was only 24.90. I lolold the whole way home and gave all my money to my wife.

Are you begining to see the pattern here op.

Well its a curious puzzle really. Im tempted to say women spend more because I see the Visa bills every month and its fuckin BT that and M&S this

But I am reliably informed that all of those purchases were great investments and actually saved money. Dunno. Head hurts

My suspicions would be that. But men spend more on booze and gadgets, these are costly too. Maybe not as straightforward as we think..

Women by a looooong shot. Men who disagree just haven't been privvy to a lot of the behind the scenes spending that goes on.

I'd have to say women, when I go into Boots to buy my regular supplies it costs just over seventy euro. Haircut costs just under fifty, eyebrow wax is fifteen and eyelash tint is twelve then add on clothes and for whatever clothes, shoes to match it costs a fortune  and some women spend loads on waxing or laser hair removal. I suppose it depends on the person, some choose cheaper alternatives then others but even then I would still say women spend far more.

I recon to begin with its women and then when they are married its the men.

You should find someone to do eyebrow threading for you. It's usually around 16 euro. You're being robbed with that wax price.

Is threading any use? I was interested in it myself but then heard too many mixed reviews

Threading is amazing. It's so much more gentle on the skin as it's rolling the hair from the root as opposed to ripping them out of the follicle and it's far easier to get a proper, amazing, defined shape on the brows.

Just make sure the therapist that does it for you is good!!

You'll hear "blah blah blah it hurts so bad". It really doesn't.

Hmm sounds good to me, thanks! I'll try it out when my brow hairs grow back :D

Pulling a few hairs out of someone's brow makes you a 'therapist'? Just get a decent tweezers and stop wasting money.

Let me put it to you this way. Before payday every month my girlfriend is broke yet I have plenty in the bank. I pay most of the bills and pay for the majority of shopping, dinners, drinks, cinema trips, holidays...etc.

So she spends a lot. But I end up spending the most. And not by choice. :(

women spend more on beauty products, not sure about the clothes it could be the same for men and women.

I sincerely doubt that. Yes there are some men that spend a lot on clothes, and also some women that spend very little on clothes. But on average I'd imagine that women spend much more on clothes.

The only argument against is that women's clothes tend to be cheaper than men's, so maybe the cost might start evening out.

If you had asked me about a year ago I'd have said hands down it was women. But after getting full time employment my gadget purchases have skyrocketed.

Maybe i just need to get that out of my system?

What each gender spends is subjective.
