Wedding appropriate?

So I know these threads are all too common, but I'm a plus one at a wedding soon, and I have a very limited fund and need to know if I can get away with this:

A grey blazer, long dangly silver necklace, plus a brown version of this:

(the brown version is a lot brighter/happier looking and is a nicer shape when it's on than seems in the pic)

Plus some skin colour tights and nude heels that are similar to:

Basically I'm worried that the dress is too casual (and possibly a bit too "little house on the prairie") and that platform heels might not be very church appropriate (obviously I'll have my fold up flats in my bag too). Plus I know a grey blazer isn't ideal but I don't have the time or money to get a better colour and I think a cardi would be way too casual.

Extra info: I'm a 5ft 6", size 10, 34C, with longish dark blonde hair. I don't need to look great, I just don't want to look weird :/ I'd appreciate any advice!

personally i think it is casual but with the right wrap and elegant hair it could work.
i think the blazer isn't a great idea as this will make more casual if you catch my drift

anyway thats my two cents worth :)

I have to agree with Marcia Lustley and say that the blazer will make it more casual looking, so I would probably knock that on the head if you're afraid of looking too casual.

I'm just thinking that if you had hair that held a curl, you could get that 1940's curl through it, along with strong lip it could look really nice together. I could be way off the mark here, but just an idea!

its a lovely dress but it seems a little casual for a wedding to me. At the weddings I have been to lately people have been seriously dressed up

Thanks guys you were a great help :)

While I'm the "rather be underdressed than overdressed" type, my sister is most definitely the opposite, so if I need to I've been told I can raid her wardrobe, so I'm not too worried anymore. I think I probably will wear the brown dress though, as I've made some alterations to it so it's not as "little house on the prairie" and my shoes look great with the wrap I picked up today (thanks Marcia Lustley!) and I tried a slightly 1940's hair today which looked really good, I curled it with a GHD and then pinned back a bit on one side (thanks Loopie!).

With money the way it is at the moment, all fashion escaped me and I was rather panicked. I really appreciate the comments :)
