Hey guys, I'm working as a retail manager for the past few years and really want to get out of the industry altogether as it's soul destroying stuff.
I have been looking unsuccessfully for a hospital porter position around Dublin for the past while with no luck as of yet, would anybody out there have any advice on where to direct me ?

    Cheers.

Helps to know someone in the HSE but having said that recruitment to public sector jobs is very limited right now ( if happening at all ).

Porters are taken on through the hospitals but because of recruitment embargo on public service jobs there are no new positions. Porters, administration etc are the first to be cut and last to be taken on. Hours can also vary greatly and can be alot of shift work.
