    looking to pick up Office 2010 from www.software4students.ie and was wondering if you can avail of this if the school that your family member attends isn't listed?

    Anyone used this website before? Do you need proof of the school that family member attends?

    Thanks, found the school in the end, they have Irish name for it listed (it's not a Gaelscoil though!)

    in most cases with these things you can buy the software but to install them and/or get the full version upgrades for free you need to verify student status. Like we sell Adobe CS5 Student for stupid cheap on the shelf, and then you realise you need to go home and do a student verification which is pretty involved to get it working correctly. And with Office if you get Home and Student you can go home and verify your status to step your license up from H&S to Professional.
