At present it can only pay the wages of half its employees. And this is far from the company's only recent woes.

Anyone know what the Sweedish is for death by 1000 cuts?

A part of me would die at the thought of seeing Saab hit the scrapyard. The other half of me knows that you'd want to be insane to buy a new car from a brand that could be out of existance in a few weeks time.

I think the biggest problem with SAAB is the general lack of loyalty and support to the brand by its own country, as well as the government. The Swedes are a cold, emotionless nation and wouldn't shed a tear if one of their world known companies was to shut its doors.

why would anyone buy a saab? the chances of them being around in 6mths time to honour your warranty when your 9-5/vectra gives trouble is slim

from a swedes point of view they can do the loyal thing and buy a volvo
