Good news folks.. WIT have just put online the exam timetable for the repeats. If you registered for the exams late, right up until today really, your covered.

They run from the 15th-27th of August.

    Login here: https://studentssp.wit.ie/login/?APP=EXMTIMETBL

You now use your normal Student Number and Password that you use to login around campus and Moodle. If you don't know it, you can reset it online.

Best of luck to all doing exams. :)

I hate how they're called Autumn exams. Very misleading.

    ...but they are Autumn Exams....

Everywhere else in the Northern Hemisphere recognises Autumn as technically beginning in September... no idea why Ireland has to be awkward as usual and pretend it's in August. Some old ancient calender thing I suppose.

The beginning of Autumn is marked by the Sept Equinox everywhere else.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_calendar
The beginning the seasons is roughly the halfway points between solstice and equinox:
    • Spring - February, March, April.
    • Summer - May, June, July.
    • Autumn - August, September, October.
    • Winter - November, December, January.

August is the beginning of Autumn on the irish calendar.

Mét Eirinn uses the meteorological that has it for September-November.

Semester 1 are considered Winter/Christmas exams.
Semester 2 are considered Summer exams.

Like I said, EVERYWHERE ELSE in the Northern Hemisphere recognises that Autumn begins after the Equinox.

It's never rested well with me that August is the beginning of Autumn...... I've always considered it a Summer month. So I've turned my back on the Irish calender. Don't deport me pls.

You can sit them again in December/May - depending which semester the exams are from.

Unless you defer, your marked as a fail.
