Recently moved house and had an account with eircom for phone and broadband.
We were told technician would have to come out to test the line etc, we were waiting almost 2 weeks. It was then discovered that the phone line had been cut to the house. Eircom informed us we needed to wait for the council to come and dig up the line.
To our suprise the line was dug up today. We now need someone to come and fix the line.
Before the line was dug up we were told the account would be suspended until the line was fixed. When we rang them today we were told that account was closed and given a new account number. Can we still keep our old landline number?
Is there anyway to speed the process of installation up now? as we have been without broadband for almost a month?
