98 Ford Ka is stuck at the side of a public road - dead!

Just about to call some of these cash for junk cars merchants on donedeal.ie

Is there anything I need to look out for? Any tips to get the best price?

my tip...dont call those fellers, just put an ad in Donedeal yourself...its a releatively common and modern car, someone will wamt doors or seat or something off it.

Cut out the cat (worth between 50 -80euro) and if you don't have access to a recovery truck put it up on donedeal to take away, it's probably worth the bones of 150 quid in metal.

It's not worth fixing up and sellin on because they're pretty bad sellers.

Thanks Guys. This time last week I didn't know a boot from a bonnet, now I'm a bleedin' dealer! :D

So when I sell the car I give the dealer the keys but what do I do with the logbook/Reg? Where do I send it to say the car is now off-road and not liable for tax etc?

    Thanks Guys.

Went down the donedeal route and after a load of timewasters eventually sold it for €140.00 to some chap who wants it for his daughter to learn to drive in. He must be a demon mechanic is all I'll say!

What did you do with the logbook?
