one of these if you have the money, the clones of the same are not tooooo bad either.

Have to say (I don't work for them) but I got one of these from Hobby Airsoft and have used it 3 weeks in a row in the Office Block and it's a CQB monster.

    http://www.hobbyairsofter.com/Rifles/Shotguns/Firepower-Multi-Shot-Shotgun

    Pros:
    Tri-barrell (tri shot every time)
Can use TM and clone (ASG) shells
    Not shell ejecting
Easy to break in the pump
    Good range
    Accurate
    chrono's around .88

    Cons:
Stock tends to need to be tightened now and then
fixed hop (not sure how it'll handle outdoors)
    Body is easy to mark

Basically as you can see from my personal experiance it's a pretty good shotgun but as stated I'm not sure how it would fare outdoors as I only use it indoors.

You don't have a lot of options with shotguns. You have:

    A) Shell ejectors - awesome fun, but so very impractical. Even with a shell catcher, if you play with any rigor, say bye bye to the shells

    B) Single Shot - not really a shotgun, bar looks

    C) Tri-Shot - Shell loaded...kind of. Combined with the 3-shots per trigger pull, this makes them the most practical.

Best? No such thing. Only what is practical, and what is fun...oh, and what you love. Choose from there :D

Co2 powered 5 shot shell loaded shotgun, best IMO

I have the clone version of the TM super 90 and it was a blast to use, untill it broke :( but the tri shot is really practical too.

TM M3 Super90 or SPAS12. Hands down, the best.
The clones aren't far off, but they don't have the same robust build.

Nobody has yet made a skirmishable metal shotgun unfortunately. The ACM Mossberg came close, but it was gas powered so it had rotten trouble.

South east airsoft recently got some Double eagle shotguns in stock and I believe that they are some of the best clones there are and are very good for the money.

hobbyairsoft have the firepower ones, not sure if they're china or what they're deal is but they seem pretty good either way

I bought a M47B2 on justbbguns.ie and its great! :D good power, pretty acurate(with hop up on) , and its cheap  it was 30 euro. its fun and all... but only as a small secondary weapon in combat.

Sorry for the tread-jack.How good are the Tanaka shotguns ?Are they worth the money ? Or would I end up forking out the same again to get it skirmishable ?

It breaks. After 6 months. All the time, every time. I have fought with myself over it. It looks fantastic, but it costs so much, the shells cost so much, and it will catastrophically fail. That makes it suck. Unfortunately.

The Maruzen is your only bet for a shell ejector worth your time
