Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot)

    I did a direct upgrade to 11.10 from my Natty install so I could try out GNOME-Shell without breaking everything. I havent noticed any major differences, Unity is a bit refined but not a lot. Still a few more weeks before feature freeze though. GNOME-Shell works well and is quite nice, awful waste of vertical real estate compared to Unity unfortunately :( Im switching between GNOME-Shell and Unity, although I have Lubuntu and Kubuntu installed, neither of which suits me much.

    Any other early adopters?

    Yeah. No point upgrading unless you wish to try gnome-shell like

    You can update a current install with ALT+F2, "update manager -d"

    You burn the iso to a disk

    The update manager -d command is only a way to update current install :)

    Or 'do-release-upgrade -p' from the cli. :P
