Golf around Ballymoney

    Evening All,

Myself and a friend are planning on some golf around the Ballymoney area of Wexford this weekend. A quick google of the area identified 2 courses that would be ideal: Ballymoney Golf Club and the other appears to be a Par 3 called The Grove. I've no prior experience of golfing down this direction but at the moment budgets are tight so the larger Ballymoney and Seafield courses are out. Has anyone a suggestion?

    Thanks!

Played Ballymoney last friday... €24 for 18 holes. I was in very good condition... greens a little slow but no problem. If you go on a saturday or sunday expect to be queing at the first and a slow round. Lots of holiday hackers so expect lots of shouts of "fore"

Don't know about the par 3 course you mentioned.

Seafield can be had for €35 if you haggle!!
Played it about 3 weeks ago... in good condition but I just can't warm to it.... especially the par 3 4th up between the houses

Courtown is just up the road. Very good course.

If you have a gui handicap Courtown have an open four ball on Saturday and 4 man team event on Sunday. Few tee times available on sat but Sunday looks pretty full up. The grove par 3 has been closed for the past few years. There is a little par 3 in Riverchapel called Knockroe, not a bad little par 3 but have not played it in years.

Teetimes.ie offer Seafield for €18 if you book through them i think, its not everybodies cup of tea but have to say i like it, always in good nick.
