    where to dispose of spent shells? i must have over 20,000 used shells from clay shooting. does the brass have any scrap value? thanks.

    i know they that shooting/gun clubs in uk have setup to dispose of cartridges id have thought we,d have somewhere or someone to take them:confused::confused:

    mixed brass has a scrap value of €2 per kg at the minute
    so ask the gaurds if you are allowed send them in for scrap then contact a local scrapper and see if they will take it.

    I would hold onto a good bit if I were you, especially magnum cases.

    If reloading comes to Eire, you'll want to grab one of these. I find that shotguns are just as finicky, it not more, than rifles.

    i wonder is that without the plastic casing? when you scrap a car you remove the tyres or get charged for it. do you think its the same?

    most of them have steel heads with brass plating i'd say they are worth sfa to a scrap dealer
