Hello all,

Myself and my girlfriend are both heading back to school. I've been lucky enough to get into UL and receive the BTEA once I register for the course. My girlfriend never did her leaving cert and now wishes to go back and do it through a vtos program (http://vtos.ie/joomla/index.php)

We would love to get rent allowance as, in general it would be a help. But if we claim we are cohabiting, even though she won't be on social welfare, could either pay be affected?

Even if we didn't ask for rent allowance, would either pay be affected?
