just wondering does anyone know of anyone who had their wedding reception in the Gougane Barra hotel in west cork. i am heading down home (waterford) for 2 days this week and going to take a look at the the hotel with my maid of honour. anyone hear what it is like for a reception, is it good value etc?? thanks ladies.

Only people I've known that got married in Gougane had their reception in other hotels. When we looked there we were not overly impressed but we did not really go further than a quick view. Lovely spot for the wedding itself though

But dont worry there are a load of lovely hotels in West Cork.
