Anyone else think that these fathers are complete Gobsh*tes for being so obsessed with passing on their name to their child. So much so that even if it's a girl, well, they just work around it.
    eg.
    Nigel Lawson Nigella Lawson

    George Jones and Georgette Jones

I suppose this is where the names, Michaela, Bernadette, Georgina, Glenda, Davina and others came from.

Nigella is probably the worst. Seems like another word for placenta.

I used to know a couple more, can't remember right now.

    I'm named after my Dad.

I have cousins, a boy and a girl called Michelle and Michael. Which I always found a bit strange.

Once knew a man called Tom who had four daughters . He called the last girl Thomasina (coincidentally Nigella Lawson had a sister with the same name).

Former boxer (and grill machine brand dude) George Foreman.
Naming 5 of your sons after you is bad enough...

Foreman has 10 children, and each of his five sons is named George: George Jr., George III, George IV, George V, and George VI. His four younger sons are distinguished from one another by the nicknames "Monk", "Big Wheel", "Red", and "Little Joey". He has two daughters, Freeda George and Georgetta.
He also has three daughters from a separate relationship, Natalia, Michi and Leola. He also adopted a daughter, Isabella Brandie Lilja (Foreman), in 2009.

The Nigel/Nigella thing is a Roman thing, for instance Julius Caeser would have called his daughter Julia, Claudius called his daughter Claudia and so on.

Meh they're worse ways to be a bad parent than giving your child a similar name

Seriously wtf is wrong with that man? Too many solid blows to the head? Enough with the Georges already, . . George.

Does the mother have no say in this?
