    Hi there,

I am getting an upstlye done this week for a wedding and was looking for some advice.
Having never gotten one before I am unsure as to what the best tips are; I have curly hair and dont know whether I should straighten my hair for the upstlye or leave it curly?
Which would I have more options with inn terms of hairstyles?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Don't wash your hair the day of the upstyle, it will help it keep better.

I'd just leave your hair as it is. Last time I had an up-do I went in with my naturally curly hair, the stylist added product and then used a hair dryer to get some volume, and then to smooth down the top. So, they'll just do your hair to suit the style.

I have curly hair also but I always straighten mine for an upstyle. My hairdresser prefers it straightened as it's easier to backcomb and if it needs to be curled, she has the tongs/wand. Straightening my whole head would take longer in the salon than curling a few sections.

Some upstyles can suit curly hair but your best bet is to ask the hairdresser what to do :)

Your outfit can be a major influence!! If it's flowy or a maxi generally curly goes better!! If it's fitted and classy then up and sleek is best!! If it's plain get something for your hair like a hair piece with diamantes if the dress is fussy then wear nothing in it!! You'd be surprised how important the outfit is to the hair!!
