mark IV golf rear lights

    Hey guys, i noticed yesterday evenin that the rear lights on the car werent workin. i checked the bulbs and found them all grand (no broken elements) and checked the fuses but they were all good too. anyone any idea what the problem could be?? any help would be greatly appreciated!

    No rear lights working at all? is the high level brake light working?

    Try the fuses,the fuse box is on the drivers side of the dash board,you need to open the drivers door to gain access to it.

    sorry, i should have specified it was just the rear driving lights. all the brake and indicator lights are working. checked the fuses but didnt find any to be blown!

    Did you try new bulbs? it can be pretty hard to see a broken element (i don't know how good your eye sight is :D )

    Not sure. But he might mean the brake controller.
    Same thing with the rear lights happenend to me a couple of wks ago. (MarkiV 03) Garage replaced the controller. €65.
