    Hi there,

I'm probably gonna need a diagnostic set (opthalmoscope and otoscope) for my 3rd year clinical placement or so the college tells us so I was considering buying this...

Does anyone know of a better deal, my money is extremely tight these days and I just want to make sure I'm getting the best I can for my money, or if the same can be bought for less all the better.

I had to do the same last year. You don't really use it much after placements so speak to students in the year ahead, you should be able to get a set from them for far less.

There are plenty of good quality ophthalmascopes in the wards and in clinics; there is NO need for a medical student to buy their own; trust me!

Thanks, I'm afraid I'd bought the above one before I'd seen your post. I guess I'm just gonna have to hope I put them to good use at some stage.
