    +1

Great series, as a mechanical engineer myself, I can appreciate what goes on behind the scenes in a lot of factories, but if we want to interest the next generation (including my own kids), then showing how everyday items are produced is a great place to start.

Most folk don't appreciate our profession and how much effort and ingenuity goes into manufacturing stuff.

Used to watch this the whole time while pretending to study for the LC, would watch it eating my dinner around 5 as well.

Is it just me, or are there like 4 different versions of this show under different names?

yeah, think there's also "how do they do it?" as well.

i've always found it interesting seeing how things are done. like the way they split it up into 3 topics and each segment isnt too long. i tend to find megafactories to go on too long at times because its a feature on just the 1 product and kinda drains the ole attention span.

The original (well to me at least as I saw it first) and best. I do like all the other ones though like How Stuff's Made and How Do They Do It
