Do we pay politicans to attend Summer Schools ?

    Just wondering if we the taxpayers are still paying the expenses of TDs and councillors to attend so called ' Summer Schools' ?

    Ask them yourself. Drop any TD you see at them a line asking them this. You could also try asking the organisers of the schools if they pay the TD's any expenses, if so how are the schools funded.

    TD's are paid a wage whether the Dail is sitting or not, I presume you are asking here about travel etc.

    Some County Councillors get paid expenses for atrtending. No prizes for guessing who abused this system....

    I actually meant to post this in Cafe section. Yes I suppose I meant expenses though if any minister td or councillor thinks this is part of ' their work' then they are paying salary as well !
