    If you use a phone to ring a garage, they'll give you a quotation. If you ring several, you can write down the results and compare them later.. choosing the cheapest or most viable option for you.

    smart cookie aren't ya. was trying to get a consensus as there're traders and people with professional experience who might be able to get a more current price

    What good is finding out the price from people who won't do the work for you? Just ring the garages that would be available to you and ask..

    You could then come back and start a thread saying "I've gotten these three quotations, do they seem right?"

    This would make more sense in my mind.
