It was suggested I post this in here. Anyway, I have a laptop which is connected to a home wifi and an xbox 360. The broadband is decent, not blindingly quick or anything. Anyway, I want to run my tv shows on windows media extender etc. is there a way to channel the sky+ box through my laptop wirelessly and then through the xbox etc etc without having to buy some insanely expensive amount of kit?

in short, no, there are several ways to do it but basically you will need some sort of device to capture the output from the sky + box and some means to control ot like an IR blaster from your laptop.

If you have an additional sky card you coudl look into a dreambox setup which could could be relativly cheap.
