Has anyone here ever had their travertine or marble floors restored?

My travertine floor in my kitchen is Down over 4 years now and it has gone very dull and matt And I am considering getting a professional in to polish and seal it for me. Would like some opinions please

My parents have marble tiles down in their kitchen and within only a few months the tiles were dull and matt. When they enquired about the maintenance of them they were told it's just what happens and to get a professional in to polish, buff, seal.. them, which they did. On west coast so no use to you with regards who the pro was. The result was impressive but again after only few months they need to be done again. Costly enough to maintain.

thanks Rozlyn, do you have any idea of how much they paid for the job? I have a large kitchen so its probably cheaper for me to get done than to retile!

Just checked with them and it cost 600 euro (medium sized kitchen). Pretty steep I would think if you have to get it done frequently. They weren't impressed.
