Hi guys, you might be able to help me.

I have installed a walker saorview box for my elderly parents. They now have RTE etc from that and BBC etc from a sky box. My issue is that now they need 3 remote controls - 1. Sky 2. TV 3. Walker box. Before it was simple I had programmed the Sky remote to control the TV.

Anybody got a simple one remote or max 2 remote solution?

    thanks

    Mr.Radio

Can't you use the Sky remote for TV and Sky box and the Saorview remote for the Saorview box?

Harmony 300 remote, goes for about £15 on Amazon, the 300i is about £30, they are the same remote bar a nice glossy finish!

As they press the relevant button, the picture source automatically changes.

i.e They press 'Sat' and the remote is programmed to command the Sat receiver and the TV is programmed to auto switch to the correct Input. The press 'Video' and the remote now controls the Saorview box and the TV with Auto switch to the Saorview box input.

You can program the remote to use the TV's volume control as the default regardless of what mode(Sat or Video) the remote is in, turn the two receivers on Max volume and use the TV volume control instead.
