Wondering if it's at all feasable for me to buy something like a Landcruiser insurance wise. I'm only 20 with a full license for a year. I know I'd be young to get one but I live near the mountains and really need a solid 4x4 and I'd be doing work for people and need a bigger vehicle. I'd prefer not to go through loopholes to get commercial insurance etc. rather go by the book. Also would a passenger model hit the insurance more then a commercial? Thanks.

if you buy a commercial 4x4 (you can get it taxed privatley if you dont have a company) you can get commercial insurance , when I was 18 with no ncb I had a 2.5 Kia sorento and paid 1850 with quinn ,

try quinn and aviva as their commercial insurance covers social, domestic and pleasure so you wont be in trouble if you crash the car when not working

if ya can afford to tax a passenger 4x4 you dont need to worry over insuring it....ave you looked at the suzuki grand vitara 4x4, 2.0 lt diesel....good motor and not in the higher bracket of either tax or insurance

You need to decide what you're going to do with it before you go any further IMHO, make a decision.
