timing belt change

    i have a 2005 toyota hilux jeep with 70,000 miles,should i get timing belt done now or would i be ok till 80,000

    If it was never done chances are the interval may well be up. 5 years is normally the recommending interval.

    Someone with autodata should be able to tell you.

    AFAIK they are a very easy belt to change so labour will be low on it

    As above, the pre 05 and post 05 models both have the same interval.

    Can autodata be wrong? It's 90,000 miles/150,000 km or ten years that's from techdoc. And the tbelt light will come on then too
