So the missus got stopped last night at a checkpoint by the guards, now the car was taxed, but it was my fault for not putting the disc up on the window(...ok take it easy people!......)the car was also out of nct for 6 months,so he asked to see her licence, wich was in my car and also asked if she had her insurance cert in the car,she didnt....nor her licence....

She told him that the car is taxed but the disc wasnt put up,and that she would book the nct first thing in the morning,he went on to explain the implications of no nct i.e 5 points and a maximum fine of 1000 euros and that only for the child in the back of the car he would have impounded it.So he took her details and asked her to produce a valid nct cert with the tax, insurance cert and her licence to a station of her choice within 10 days.

The car was booked in for nct today and passed,so she produced everything she needed to bring to the station today,my question is now, will we here more or will that be the end of it?Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance...

That will be the last of it. The guard was being very generous there I have to say.

The gardaí will review it with their superiors.

I would be expecting some sort of fine.
