I've done a search and I've not found any solutions. I was just wondering is there a way to improve the Medium wave reception on a car radio?

I'm not sure your going to find much. I think RTE stopped using it.

Unless your looking for further afield signals?

Smart phone app, TunedInRadio and a cable to plug into aux on the stereo

You'll need a decent data plan for that to work, and when you loose a 3g signal, your shagged

There is too much interference from electric systems in cars nowadays.

Years ago I had no problem listening to Radio 4 on long wave all over Ireland.Nowadays it's hopless.
Maybe they will introduce 3g reception in cars for free some day.

I thought of that but intermittent 3g reception is similar to intermittent MW reception. For instance I lose 3g at least 4 times driving to work and I've lost count how many times this happens on the Dublin - Cork motorway N8.
Also a lot of the internet radio is censored if you like, due to broadcasting rights.
