Tax credits after marriage

Hi guys, would really appreciate some advice here as I haven't a clue! Got married 2009, I work part time - approx €18000 pa and OH on €42000. I'm on maternity leave at mo till December. I've never done anything to change our tax credits. Should I and how do i do it and would we be entitlted to any tax back? Thanks :-)
