Quick one for the Appleistas.. I have a Mac Book Air and am now in the process of getting used to it.

Have a query re Youtube. I know there is a disagreement between Apple and Adobe and I expected there may be a problem viewing some videos... however when I logged onto Youtube, it won't play ANY of the vids that I want. It wants me to install the latest version of Adobe... I presume this is a non runner on an Apple OS...Is there a way around this?

Also coming from a PC platform is there any software that I should be looking to buy?

    Thanks for all replies.

Download Flash for Mac here. Or if you use Chrome it will have a version embedded.

Nope you can get flash for Mac no problem. It's just Apple don't preinstall it.

It's a non runner on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch), but no problem on OSX. Though as has been pointed out, you do have to download it, it's not preinstalled.

Or you could join the html5 trial on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/html5

You wouldn't need to use Flash. Though to be honest, you'll probably need it for something else.

    DFD.

Or just download VLC and be able to watch almost anything out of the box.
