    Hi
anyone can recommend a good USB security app, one that will lock the key basically, but need to use this key on different PC's ?

    Cheers

What do you mean by lock it?

You could encrypt it, then if it is lost no-one can read it.

As mentioned, Truecrypt is great for encrypting filesystems, and has a portable version that should work (encrypt everything but the truecrypt binary on the drive, and don't store the password anywhere except in your head).

If you're really paranoid about the data though keep in mind that a lot of software (or Windows itself) will store some information about files opened, if not a copy of the file, un-encrypted on the computer's main drive, so depending on the situation and the software required it might not be 100% effective at protecting the files, particularly if you use it on computer's you don't trust.

If you just mean protecting the information from thieves then Truecrypt is more than good enough though.
