Hey, anybody out there got a Audi A4 saloon model, 2.0ltr diesel between the 05 & 08?? i bought one off a garage man but after a week noticed that after driving for a while and then coming to a stop ie at taffic lights or stop signs etc. the engine started to vibrate. i brought it back to the garage and checked to see if it was the fly wheel or injectors. got told it was a fly wheel and got it changed but its still vibrating but not as bad however its still at it! I was told that all 2.0 Audi have this fault with them does anybody else have this problem and if so did they fix it and how???

I don't know, so this is as much of a question as a guess.

If the dual-mass flywheel was replaced with a (cheaper) solid flywheel, would this cause increased vibrations?

It probably would Kevin but i was told that the solid flywheel would lead to the clucth going in no time so it had to be the dual flywheel or "floating flywheel" that he replaced it with

That particular model audi suffer from the dreaded injector problem. I'm not sure if a scan would be able to pick up a bad injector or not.
