Hey guys, here's the official ruling on spoilers - I'll add it to the rules thread after everyone's seen it. Failure to adhere to spoiler ules will result in warnings and bans. Repeat offenders will get longer/permanent bans.

    - There is no spoiler ban/spoiler tags needed for wrestling shows in it's own thread (eg "RAW 25/07/11 thread *spoilers*") - the thread has a generic title and will be marked "spoilers"

    - spoilers for a show can be in other already-made threads, as long as it's spoiler tagged (eg posting with spoiler tags in the "Summer of Punk" thread after RAW)

    - people can talk freely about spoilers at midnight the day afterwards a show is first aired on Irish TV (ie PPVs @ Monday Midnight; RAW @ Tuesday Midnight, SmackDown @ Saturday Midnight, iMPACT @ Wednesday Midnight, TNA PPVs @ Thursday midnight

    - making a new thread specifically relating to spoilers (eg "HHH is the new boss") has the same ruling as the TV shows - i.e. it can be made midnight the day after the show is aired.

    - Other promotions (ROH, DGUSA) and WWE TV shows (Superstars, NXT etc) technically have no spoiler bans, just keep it to the assigned threads. Spoiler-tagging is more out of courtesy than a rule for these, it's not required.

So basically the big thing to take away is that you can talk about spoilers at midnight the day afterwards a show is first aired on Irish TV. If in doubt, spoiler tag :)

i guess the only quibble is people that don't catch RAW until the Thursday repeat getting spoiled in other threads. tbh i think the amount of people inconvenienced by having to keep the mouth shut for a few more days is far higher than the 1-2 guys who don't have a DVR, VCR or download/stream/read about it on the internet. If there's huge uproar we can change, let us know your thoughts below if u think we should add anything or to clarify.

In short, give it 24 hours after it aired, then you can talk away without worrying about offending anyone?

also guys, could you not quote big reams of text or videos as well? It really breaks up the page; makes it less nice to read when every post contains the original video or big point. :)
