    In short NO

    Reasons
Superb with the small 1.9 105BHP engine...too small engone for that car
    old motor tax bands.
    Ex taxi
300,000 on the clock while the engine is good, I personally be a bit weary so much wear and tear on the car as a whole
sold without warranty- trade sale... always smells fishy to me
no mention of full service history

The 1.9 has plenty of torque for city and urban driving.
Car will be taxed as a Taxi.
Car is well minded which would suggest FSH.
    300K is not that big.

for a car that size I wouldnt be sure it has enough power
As the question was, would YA be tempted.. and i not a taxi driver I would have to tax it as a private car.. so again no I wouldnt

it does say well minded, but tat doesnt imply a fsh.. if there was a fsh the dealer I am sure would have mentioned it.

300k is not too huge, but big enough to be weary of other issues on the car.. that coupled with the trade sale no warranty makes me believe there is something lurking there

I'm in the minority but 300,000km on the clock with the old tax rates? Not for me. However it does look better than some of the taxis I see parked outside Heuston station in the morning.

I havent but the owner was a serious car phanatic so it will be done correctly. There was a thread here somewhere on it.

Not bad but I still think it could be cheaper.

High miles doesn't put me off and no doubt it has had a new clutch at some stage so those things don't have to be worried about.

I can guarantee you one thing though that car won't hang around long but will reappear on Donedeal in two weeks for €7500 with 80K miles ;)

Probably not. It would still look the part on any taxi rank but it begs the question as to why it was disposed of. And for a price a lot lower than it is currently for sale for too no doubt. The lack of warranty would imply that there may be work needed doing to it. I'm sure there's plenty of life left in it but a 300k km around Cork City isnt going to do the car any favours.

No doubt the seller is making a few quid, it's his living at the end of the day. He hardly expects to get the full asking price for it either. Offloading to the trade as he may well have no desire to retail it, has made his money on what it was traded against and knows that the odds are one or two small (or big) things may give trouble over the next few months. As for the why it's being disposed of, with 180k odd on it over 4 years it would seem that as well as the owner there has also been a 2nd driver on it, the thing has made someone plenty of cash. They may fancy investing some of that cash into the next 180k miles.

It may well be a sh1tter too but I doubt it.
