xbox wireless receiever problem

    I have a xbox wireless receiver to connect my xbox controller to the pc to play games with it.

    The PC doesn't recognise any driver software with it and when I try to install the driver it says theres an error. I'm using windows 7. Anybody know anything that could help?

    I went to microsoft website to install the software for the devise too but that seems to do nothing. Theres a program there alright called 'microsoft xbox360 accessories' that can be seen but it doesn't do much or am I suppose to link it to the devise?
