Tax Code query

    Hi I have started a new job and last month I got paid for a week and I had a tax code of "E". This I assume was emergency as I just started work.
    I have now received my P45 and handed it to my HR personnel over two weeks ago. I got this months payslip this am and it has a tax code of "W".

    Does anyone know if this is correct or what a tax code of "W" means.
