Quality is as high as anything you can achieve flat packed. Its sturdy, So sturdy in fact that mine survived an 5 ft fall from the wall it was meant to be secured too. (do not ever trust stud finders they can lie very easily)

Anyway i would recommend them. Mine survived the fall and is now back up and fitted. Show me any othe flat back that could do that ;)

Sound. I'll be taking a trip down so. Think I'll go for the white gloss. :)

I got a smaller black high gloss and I is very good quality. Everyone admires and I had it together in about 15 minutes

Another Besta question. I need a new TV unit and the besta ones look nice.

    https://www.ikea.com/ie/en/p/besta-tv-storage-combination-glass-doors-black-brown-selsviken-high-gloss-black-clear-glass-s39329459/

I don't fancy a 3 hour drive + 1hr queue to have a look at them in Ikea. Can anybody advice which wood type looks the best/easiest to keep etc.

    - Black/Brown (not High Gloss)
    - High gloss
    - White high gloss
    - White/Oak high gloss

Do they HAVE to be attached to the wall or are they stand alone?

We have the white gloss and love it. Really brightens up the room and very easy to clean. They're supposed to be fastened to the wall but we don't.
I never got around to it. I suppose the danger would be if the units were stacked high and a young kid climbed up there is a risk of tipping.

2 L brackets onto the skirting board will stop them flipping over. You can hide it behind the unit itself. Saves drilling into the wall.

Thanks for the replies. Good tip there re:the brackets.
Does the gloss one scratch easily and attract dust?
