Let's say you have 5 repeats in august, and only manage to pass 3 of them. What are your options for the 2 you failed (again)? ..I heard that instead of paying hundreds of euro to redo the module again you can just resit the 2 repeats again the following august? Is this true?...

Yep, you can just register for the exams again the following May/August :)

I'm not bothering with my repeats, have 4 and there are 2 that I know well I wont pass :(

What's the process to do this, do you know?? Like forms and costs, etc...

Knowing DCU it'll be very expensive! I don't have the money to repeat the whole year or couple of modules and I'd learn more by studying at home!

    Cheers!

Its a few years ago since I was in that position but I'm sure it hasnt changed too much.

I failed 1. DCU dont let you carry over modules to the next year so you have to repeat it if you want to continue.

You have the option of going to lectures or just doing the exam. For me it was 400€ for the one modules exam and I think it was 700€ if you wanted to go the lectures.

If it happens you need to fill out a form for the registry and probably contact the head of the course. You only pay for the subject/exam not the 2000€ registration fee.

But if you can avoid it work hard for the repeats. Repeating the year is a waste of time.

Remember that under new Marks & Standards you will be required to complete the new "academic session" which means your CA marks will NOT carry forward to the new year (session) and you will therefore have to sit the module and compete CA and not just exam.

What a crap attitude - by the time the re-sits come you will have had 3 months to have done some work and pass the fcuking things!

I wouldnt even mention only getting the results about a month ago - if you failed four of them you must have had a good idea when you sat them that they didnt go well.

FFS you still have 3/4 weeks to start studying right now - why waste an entire year?

I would wager that the majority of people are only going to begin studying from next week.

Pay the €190 - get your head down for the next 3/4 weeks - with a bit of luck and hard work you will pass.
