Applying for both BTEA and mainteance grant

    ok guys i know you cant have both the btea and grant as of the 2010 budget, but it says would should apply for both so the grant can cover your fees, so do you just apply for both!? what happens if your accepted for both? do you to choose either the grant of btea there?!

    also i know for third level you have to be getting jsb or jsa for 9 months, i was on jsb for over 9 months last year but then ran out of credits and did not qualify for jsa because i was living at home. does this mean i will not get BTEA?

    im 22 been out of work since 08

    any help would be great thanks

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Also do you have to getting JSA/B right before you start college to get BTEA? or does the 9 months count if it was last year/ year before that?
