New job what salary should I be looking for?

I recently did a job interview which went well. I did not ask about salary at the interview. I would like some advice from other board users in regards to salary.
    This is my story.
I have been unemployed for over 2 years but have done some courses during this time. Before this I worked in sales, customer service, admin and dealing with public for over 10 years.
I have not worked in the job interview industry before but my experience would lend its self to the new job. I know salaries have fallen in the last 2 years but I don't want to take min wage. I live in the midlands where office/admin/retail jobs seem to pay anything from min wage to €10 per hour. The new job would be 39 hours a week and would include Saturday work so what salary should I be looking for.

    €9 per hour.

It's a negotiation, you should think of the amount you'd be happy with and go in above that. Don't worry too much about pricing yourself too high -- unless you are totally off the scale (and you seem to have a good idea what the market rate is) the company will make a counter-offer if they want to hire you.

Think of it this way, if they give you what you asked for straight off, then you asked for too little.

Based on your skill set I would ask for between 8.50 and 9 euros per hour. Good place to start
