2 issues with Mac/Windows network sharing

    Hi all,

My main machine is a Windows XP PC, which has a Canon printer attached.

I also have an iMac in the kitchen.

    Anyway - Issue 1:
    * My Canon printer (IP5200) is attached to my PC and shared; my laptop (Win7) can print from it fine - basically, it's shared fine & it works. I have also set it as the default printer on my iMac - the Mac finds it fine on the network (i.e can see it), has the correct drivers, has it set as it's default printer, and I can even see a print queue! The only problem is when I try to print something on the Mac, the print queue just says "printing" forever, and nothing actually happens with the printer - no movement of the heads, no print queue on my PC tray - nothing!

    Issue 2:
    * I want to backup the iTunes folder on my Mac to my PC. I have enabled sharing of the "iTunes" folder on the Mac (with Read & write privileges) and I can access the folder through my PC by using this LAN address: \\192.168.1.6\iTunes\
So, I can see the contents of the iTunes folder on the Mac, from my PC - but it won't let me copy & paste anything out of it. I get an "Access is denied" error in Windows.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the printer, but it may be related.

When you share folders in Windows you seem to have to set up the permissions twice. So under the Sharing tab and the Security Tab in the folder properties dialog.
