    Hi Guys,

I am undertaking a project for college to compare CO2 emissions throughout the decades from the 1900's to present day. Does anyone have a source for building elements typically used throughout the decades. U values would be helpful but I will probably do manual calcs if I just had standard elements for walls, roofs, floors etc.

Also any sources for typical heating systems that would have been present throughout the years would also be very helpful.

I am going to use a reference building and then use the DEAP software for my CO2 calculations.

I've looked for such a document also and never really got very far.... this is the best ive found and its quiet out of date http://www.mure2.com/doc/Case1.pdf
this is a huge question you've asked! I hope its a PHD with a lot of funding OR you may want to narrow the scope alot:)
IMHO you will not get a very clear result from your search, because as building regs improved so too did expected comfort - room temperatures and electrical toys etc..
also see this site, these guys may give you some incite

yes you could do this in deap, but will your peer review except this?

    Thanks for that,

I soon found I was flogging a dead horse trying to come up with that information. I have decided to concentrate from about 1970 up to present day. Tried to bite off more than I could chew I think!!

    Cheers again.
