    Hi everyone,

    Looking for some help here.:)

I want to do one of the following course's starting in september as a part time course, but I really cant decide which one I'd be better doing.

I work in a warehouse and Im sick and tired of it so I want to make a fresh start and hopefully a career in accountancy. I have a little bit of knowledge in accountancy as I did it for the the junior cert. I know these courses are going to be a lot more harder than that but I actually enjoy it so I am prepared for that!! Yes I regret not pursuing it for the leaving cert and into college but that was than and this is now so Im trying to correct my mistake.:o

    Heres the courses anyway:

As I said I would like to pursue it as a career and maybe move abroad with the qualifaction in a few years so any advice as to which one would be best to pick would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks :)

    Hi Dark Shadow,

I have just finished the ATI course and found it really good. I did accountancy for my leaving cert, 13 years ago!!!, so getting stuck into it wasn't too bad. I did it 2 nights a week so was able to work too. If you put enough work in for the whole year then its not to bad. I left it a little late with the study in year 2 and it was a bit tough in a couple of the exams but managed to pass!

Cant comment on the ACCA as know nothing about it or anyone that has done it.

If you are going to study afterwards then the ACA give you exemptions from ATI if you have certain grades. I'm sure ACCA will give you exemptions from a few subjects too if you have done their earlier course. I only have 2 subjects in my 1st year of ACA so should be a breeze! Yeah right!!!
