Apple TV - need help with Homesharing problem

    Hi folks. Apologies in advance for the long post, but I've been having problems with Homesharing - and at this stage, it's really starting to get on my wick. I've read through lots of threads on Apple's support website, but nothing seems to work. I suspect the problem may be related to UPC/router settings, so thought I might have some joy here.

    I have a Mac mini as our HTPC. Running Lion with latest version of iTunes. We have 2 x ATVs in other rooms. Also have the home hifi hooked up to an Airport Express. We have various IOS devices too. All with latest firmware.

    We have 15Mb UPC broadband. The (UPC supplied) modem/router is a Cisco EPC2425. I have a an Airport Extreme hooked up to this via ethernet (so we use the Cisco only as a modem & the AE is the router).

    Most of the network works seamlessly. The ATVs work perfectly in standalone mode (i.e. instant trailer/rental download from iTunes, no issues with Youtube). Airplay from any of the IOS devices to the ATVs also works flawlessly (including controlling the ATVs using the IOS "Remote" app).

    I can stream media from the HTPC to the IOS devices with no problems either (using iTunes sharing for music, and the "Video" sharing for movies).

    BUT... whenever I try to stream media from the Mini to the ATVs via Homesharing, it just does not want to work properly. I get various errors including "Homesharing is not enabled" or it stalls while "Connecting to Mac Mini" or "This library does not contain video". I do have Homesharing set up an all devices, so that's not the problem. The only way I can get it to work is by resetting the ATV & rebooting iTunes on the Mini.
