#this will be the question on many an english broadcasters lips for the next few years I reckon, so who will it be?

p.s I reckon Lee Westwood must be battling a maelstrom of inner demons, seeing his team mates @rorymcilroy @theprincedc, @charlesschwartzel win in the last year, after himself coming close so many times recently!!

    I'll go with Paul Casey

    Hi,
Don't think anyone of them have the bottle especially Westwood, Poulter may fall into one like he almost did when Paddy won his second open. Luke has never won on a tough course he is short and not that accurate so don't think he will win one either.

I think Donald will win one before the rest, Westwood would next in mine but i think the reason Donald will is he has a much better short game but and i think he is a better putter. being short of the tee doesnt bother me so much but i think accuracy is the key. Hence why McIlroy won his and came so close in the masters, from tee to green doesnt get much better

It will happen soon folks and when it happens it could signal a monsoon of English winners.

It's been a long time since an English winner, but it represents a tea break in comparison to the gap between Daly and Harrington.

I'd say that all their big guns - Westwood, Donald, Poulter and Casey - have the game to win any of the majors. Rose should never be discounted from a British Open. Then there's half a dozen of them like Khan who have a huge week in them.

Let's hope is Irish are as magnanimous and receptive to an English win, as they have been to us, when it finally happens.

I will eat my sandwedge if Simon Khan wins a major! And you can hold me to that. He did great winning the BMW PGA last year and I have nothing against the chap but Wentworth has thrown up some odd winners over the years - Andrew Oldcorn, Scott something - and he is one of them. There's probably a dozen other Englishmen on tour better than him.

Donald, Westwood and Casey definitely have the games to do it and I'd be surprised if one of them doesn't win one soon. But I definitely don't see any monsoons on the horizon though.

Would be a miracle if he did.

Drummond is the lad your thinking of.

I''d say it will be Casey at the Masters or PGA. dont think one of them will win the last one of the year.

Donald or Westwood, leaning towards Lee. Don't think Poulter or Casey will ever win one.

He is not that accurate with the driver.

I suppose but it's only relative IMO. He is a great iron player and not a total disgrace with the driver. I think he has the game to comfortably win a major but the flat stick and his wedges are where is real advantage lies.
