Hi girls, I just bought a dress in French Connection and i need to either get a backless or low backed bra to go with it. I'm a 34D so i still need support and also would rather non-padded. Anyone seen anything recently?

    Hi newbie,

Are you looking for a normal bra including shoulder straps, or a strapless? How low down does the dress go?

You can get an adjuster for a normal bra which will being it lower down your back into a cris-cross. I've seen these in La Senza and in M&S.

Another option - there's this bra you can get where you glue the sides of it to you and no straps. I wore it before when my bust was smaller. Now, it is slightly padded, but that's more to give it shape. I found it a pain in the ar*e because the glued sides kept coming away. I think it really only suits smaller sizes but have a look, if only to rule it out. Again, La Senza have it.

Also, Ultimo do a body where it come right down to the small of your back. You would probably get this in Debenhams or else on line (I've seen this type of body on Bravissimo, not sure whether it was Ultimo or not though)

    Hope this helps!

You could try something like this bad boy - both strapless and has a really low back ---> http://www.asos.com/Ultimo/Ultimo-A-D-Miracle-Solutions-Low-Back-Strapless-Bra-With-Removable-Gel-Pads/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=599823

Debenhams have a bra extender in their "party pack" so that you can lower the bra (third picture) and they also sell them as a seperate accessory ---> http://www.debenhams.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?parentCategoryId=153156&catalogId=10001&categoryId=153160&langId=-1&productId=222865&storeName=Debenhams.ie&storeId=10052

You can also get bras that have the extender style included, much like this bra ---> http://wishlisting.com/wish/105349-Low-back-multi-way-bra-with-Gel-Curve-.html, I'm sure I have seen them in Debenhams before.

The stick on ones Loopie is thinking of can be really uncomfortable (I know a girl who wore one for a wedding and she said it ripped the skin off of her all day!) and sometimes don't work very well so I would avoid them unless you literally cannot find something else.

for a low back bra. get a u-bra. The only place I know they sell them here is in Peaches & Cream in Dublin but you might get cheaper versions. they are very good and make you feel secure.
