We used to use lots of gates tied together to make a temporary pen.

Find out how they brought home last year, or the last time it was grazed.
Could they for example have been let in to a neighbour who has loading facilities etc?

We have a field away from the home place (The Land Commision have a lot to answer for). Well, we have no pen whatsover in it. We just load them in a corner with one gate tied to the corner of the trailer.
The trick is to put the quitest cattle you have in the field. Ones that will just come out of curiosity. Honestly if they are quiet, one person could load them on their own. As for wild cattle forget it. If might help to train them for a few days with meal if they are wild.

He walked them over. He had family home at the time and they stood in gate ways and roads.

spend a week feeding them at the gate gradually introduce a few gates and electric fence . You will probably still need a few to stand outside the gates to get them in the trailer if they are a bit wild .

Hi! I was wondering if you managed to get the cattle loaded???? I had awful job with 8 cattle that were too quiet!!! They wouldn't move for us - we eventually had to get a gate tie it to a fence and push them onto the trailer with the other end. they will soon be headin to the mart and I'm not looking forward to trying to load them. I'm planning to pack them off before my kids go back to school - that will leave 6 of us to push!!!!
