It'll be interesting to see if this can gain the same popularity as Skins, Misfits or The Inbetweeners. I'll defo give it a go though.

Did anyone else bother with this? I watched the first episode on catch-up and, frankly, it was considerably crappier than the adverts suggested - a lame cross of tedious "fish out of water" jokes about three British guys in the US, and the sort of high-school clique comedy that I suspect even US audiences find tedious and unbelievable.

Could, and should, have been a lot better than what they ended up with.

Nope, it didn't even have that to save it.

TBH it was like watching a bad attempt at making a television version of American Pie or Eurotrip. I get the impression that a lot of the scripting work was deliberately skewed towards American TV conventions, so I suspect E4 are hoping to sell this to US networks directly rather than letting them make a US adaptation.

Interesting, maybe it's a co-production/financed?....maybe a US network [MTV] will be showing it?

Wikipedia tells me that it's a British production company, but given the effort to make it seem like most US teen dramas of the last 10 years I would be surprised if they weren't planning on trying to flog it to whoever wants it. Sadly, it seems I'm not the only person to have found it a bit too pointless to follow up.

There's only one character in it that has any potential to be interesting (A-Rab), and even then the only way he'd be interesting is if he were to be completely removed from the two complete wastes of space that are his best friends.

It's a shame that the promotional campaign for it was so good (particularly the split-screen ad) considering the actual product was so boring.

I'm guessing the writers and Channel 4 get more money selling the rights to the show to a US Network, as opposed selling the rights to a US remake (that usually fail, ala US Skins).

In the teasers for the next episode Flynn makes out with a topless Rachael on her desk although to be honest it looked like her hand might get in the way.

If you don't want to waste an hour of your time to find out I can recommend Balls of Steel Australia also on E4. Nude Girl doesn't disappoint!

I've just watched all 3 episodes on 4OD and it's not so bad. I don't know where the Inbetweeners comparisons came from as it's not anything like it.

It could've been good if they'd gone for full on comedy, or full on drama but it seems to be a bit unsure what it wants to be. Plus I have to say the kids are all too annoying to like, maybe it's because their Americans but I just don't like them at all.

I'll probably end up watching the rest of it but most likely on 4OD if I've got a few hours to kill, not likely to be rushing home to watch it on TV.

Just found this and liked it. It's not the most original thing ever created but the characters draw you in and it definitely has its moments.

Watched it last night. Seemed slightly better than last series. Maybe because the annoying kids didn't show up until near the end?

They've introduced a few new characters too, not sure I like any of them. I think like last series I'll probably record it and watch it when bored or get it on 4OD maybe. Don't think I'll be rushing home to see it every Monday night.

Has anyone been watching this? It's like a completely different show from the first series. The kids are barely in it which is great because they were annoying as hell and the little bits they are in are quite funny.
They focus much more on the "adults" now. It's still not ground breaking TV but a vast improvement on series 1.
